FEXCO and Western Union supports food transports to Romanian orphanages
|
Trelleborg, October 29, 2007: FEXCO Nordic has together with Western Union granted the Danish organization, Rumænienprojektet af 1992, a donation for transports to orphanages in Romania. The transports will enable children at several orphanages to receive food, clothes and toys.
“We hope the donation will make a real difference to children’s’ lives. We are extremely happy to have established this relationship with the organisation”, says Mikael Anderzén, Managing Director at FEXCO Nordic.
Rumænienprojektet af 1992 is a volunteer organization, which since 1992 has organized fund raising for transports of food, clothes and toys to orphanages in Romania twice a year. The organization supports six orphanages in the northwest of Romania giving 500 children a better life. The work is entirely done by people working voluntarily. The drivers of the transports are pupils in training for becoming long distance truck drivers in Fredericia-Middelfart Technical School logistic department.
